Why do Whales beach themselves? (Answers from the mystical realm)

--

A natural phenomena that continues to baffle scientists and oceanographers…without doubt continues to baffle me as well. This natural phenomena recently occurred in the remote Tasmanian west coast, where 470 beached themselves and almost 350 died. Reported also is that this is the first ever time the World has seen such an event on this large scale. What may be more intriguing are the reports of the marooned whales thrashing about on a shallow sandbar just inside the heads, accompanied by their young offspring, known as calves. Small enough to avoid being beached, they circled the area singing out for their mothers and swimming up to the rescuers to bump their legs. It seemed the whales were calling out to each other and it sounds like they were reassuring each other. One can imagine this overwhelming tragic scene. Once again, this ongoing strange phenomena, science and logic have been querying and perhaps will probably never find concrete answers…so why not try asking the Universe for some right?

This was a really tough read. Why? Not just because I feel deeply for the plight of the animals…But because we’re trying to form logical explanations and rational opinions of perhaps wanting too hard to find out the truths in search for answers. Nevertheless…here it is.

THE NATURE (The Empress)

Right away…Mother Nature pops up in my intuition and speaks. Here lies the beautiful visual representation of Mother Nature in all its glory, its linkage to the Universe and Earth, and to tell me very clearly & conclusively, the fact that the whales exhibit such behaviour to beach themselves was the way Mother Nature intended. It is not for us humans, as much as we scientifically seek evidence in search for answers, to fully understand, if ever. Instead, the Empress reminds us what we view from our own narrow perspectives as ‘tragedy’, ‘death’, ‘suffering’ or ‘a waste of life’ is in fact intended, and directly connected to the ways of Nature and its natural cycles that we have yet to understand or will never do. Bluntly, the read curtly tells us to embrace the fact that “it is as it is”, and “it is how it has been created”, and know that’s just Nature’s way of rebirth that us mere humans cannot control or stop. Perhaps there is a beautiful side of this phenomena we can’t see, and perhaps it’s time to remind us to stopping playing ‘God’ and reminder that we are directly part of Nature itself.

THE REASON (Six of Cups)

If you’re reading this till here, then I urge you to put aside logic and reasoning before you carry on reading. The reason here may seem bizarre to you and I, but once again, start to embrace the fact perhaps this is how Nature has coded it. The Six of Cups is a happy one, signifying innocence, joy, playfulness and in essence, the overall process of life from child to adulthood. Beyond rational, it speaks of the whales beaching themselves on purpose as seemingly a natural process, as if to come to the end of a life ‘fulfilled’. Whether adult or calf, there lies an innate instinct within the whales to do this as if it’s a ‘coming of age’, or ‘their purpose met’. Yet while we as humans perceive this as ‘suicidal tendencies’ or ‘euthanasia’, these animals instead feel a sense of joy, completion, and inexplicably, a ‘sense of revisiting their past’…I feel it’s their own karmic cycle of sorts coded within from a time long ago, a direct link & connection to the overall cosmos in which we cannot understand. We, as humans, have much to further learn from nature.

THE HIDDEN TRUTH (Six of Swords)

Once again, put aside human logic and rational in seeking an answer as to why. The Six of Swords demonstrates this is a rite-of-passage, as if the whole act of beaching themselves is one that releases a lifetime of baggage. My sensing of this further links it back to Mother Nature herself, and how it truly intended for these beautiful animals to be released for the greater good for all other connected biodiversity within the Oceans and beyond, in ensuring the cycle of life achieves balance. Again, attempting to find a connection is limiting to what we narrowly know within the boundaries of what we only know, and perhaps, this transition of beaching should just be left as is, and seen not as a tragedy but instead, simply embrace the notion of how wondrous and continuously mysterious the ways of nature naturally happens. Lest we forget, we are part of it, and we ought to take care of it while we can…before it takes ‘care’ of us as it’s ultimate ‘rite-of-passage’.
