What Unfolds for Singapore in December 2020…

In a blink of an eye…we’re almost in December. Reflecting back on November’s read where the Devil card appeared to warn us of negative forces influencing situations that might manifest and leaving us feeling a little sullen & powerless…I would conclude that it did. The big one being the S’pore — Hong Kong travel bubble that was so brimming with hope, so close to initiation, only to be put into a halt…Manufacturing output was hit with surprise drop suddenly despite a 3 month surge….Incidents involving law & order seemed to also experienced a uptick from the NUS prof to the Balestier police shooting, to Lee Suet Fern(who really cares? Lol). Weird sudden rainstorms causing pondings’…No fireworks this year, no Chinese New Year bazaar etc. Ultimately, whether these events interest you or otherwise, the one biggest one (which I was keeping my fingers and toes crossed for) which we all heeded most attention to, was us going on a steady 15-day record of zero community covid transmissions…but alas, as luck would have it…it ran out with some chap who enjoyed his Seoul Garden buffet, and more recently…a stall owner in Tekka market. One can only hope this is kept in check, and the bigger picture is a reminder that the virus still looms amongst us.

If anything, at least we get to play tourist with the upcoming $100 rediscover vouchers…and for all else…here’s a read of what unfolds for Singapore in December 2020.

OUTLOOK (The Chariot)

Major Tarot Card pops out here, and one to give significant attention to. The Chariot is full speed ahead! It is a symbol of willpower, determination and strength. What with some minor setbacks experienced in November mentioned, we can definitely look forth to plans, strategies, ideas, initiatives to charge ahead this month. No coincidence that us playing tourist within Singapore will be part of that overall equation, along with the upcoming Christmas and New Year holidays. Further, The Chariot is associated to the Cancerian zodiac, and of the element of water…What this simply means is that we can expect to see more action along the lines of Singapore’s diplomatic ties and its associated plans of collaboration coming to some fruition of sorts (SG-HK bubble resume perhaps amongst others), or revisiting or establishing new ones (Biden perhaps) and overall it signals emotional vibrations within Singapore feeling ‘charged’ with positivity and determination. In general, we could see many things that might have been on standstill brought to life once again, and this spells good news for the economy and businesses this month. Further, we can expect to receive some really significant good news.

SITUATION (Two of Pentacles)

The Two of Pentacles consistently pops us once more, appearing frequently in many reads on Singapore thus far. We’re still in the state of balancing and juggling everything that comes at hand, from the economy, to job creation, to bilateral ties, to domestic issues. Simply, those running the country has got their work cut out for them. It is still a precarious time, on one hand wanting to be bold to open up the country further, and on the other hand, being cautiously conservative to do so…treading with care. Ultimately, this card signifies the practicality and hard work as well. I’ll give it credit where credit is due, and I must conclude the people running the country has been doing a good job of it thus far, given the enormity and unpredictable nature of the task. Expect more reports on initiatives and action regarding economic, job, growth, and everything else concerning Singapore’s foundations at hand.

OBSTACLE (King of Swords)

2 scenarios here with the King of Swords. First, we can expect to see incidents involving a lack of clarity where authorities have to weigh their options to proceed. This is perhaps due to a lack of information in real-time or clear data at hand, or a certain chain of events happening that are new and dynamically evolving. So much so that intellectual decision making is impaired, and instead, having to rely on gut-feel instead. Secondly, the King of Swords here refer to individuals of power and authority in making moves to plan or action on something. They are called upon to reply upon the law & regulations(or to create) in seeing to balancing a situation at hand. We can expect to see some form of government intervention of sorts, whether or instilling new regulations or being faced with a situations involving a lack of mental clarity. (Hmm…something to do with ‘Phase 3’?)

HOW IT UNFOLDS (Eight of Pentacles)

Work work work work work work work and more work. Enough said. LOL. If anything, this is a good sign from the Eight of Pentacles indicating a strong work ethic, drive and perseverance in moving all aspects of Singapore’s foundations forward. It is about staying grounded, practical to see us through into the new year ahead. As a country, it is also ‘learning’ and evolving in its future growth at the moment, in planting the seeds to hopefully sow the rewards in the future. At our end, we need to continue to play our parts as well, in not being complacent due to the festive season, in keeping the covid at bay. Additionally, the card calls upon all of us to continue to learn and to work in keeping to our tasks, goals, plans…in sowing the seeds for 2021.

OUTCOME (Two of Swords)

The King of Swords appearing earlier in the obstacle position already gave us a hint of a certain situation unfolding that will require government intervention, in terms of rules and sustaining balance. The Two of Swords reinforces this potential manifestation where there will be a difficult decisions to make, weighing up options, or perhaps an impasse at hand. The positive thing is that this is a minor instance, and that it will fleetingly pass. Intuition tells me it might be something to do with Phase 3…Perhaps, don’t get your hopes too high if you’re not able to invite more than 5 people over to your party over Christmas or New Years. And for the greater good, don’t be a jackass for your own selfish short-term enjoyment. (Yeap. Not mincing my words in this context)

Have a safe and wonderful festive December ahead!

“Be alive and live.”
